Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov announced during a briefing that Russia supports a comprehensive solution to the militarization of space.

When asked by a journalist whether the Kremlin sees the risks of militarization in space, Peskov suggested paying attention to those who oppose the adoption of a UN Security Council resolution on space.

"I would like to respond briefly. First, our special services are undoubtedly doing their job. Second, we simply ask you to note the fact that we were unable to get the relevant resolution on space adopted. This speaks volumes about who is against and what the Russian side is proposing. The answer is very simple here: We support a comprehensive solution to this issue. Look at who is against, and you will answer your question yourself," Peskov said.

Previously, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated that Russia was disappointed by the UN Security Council's decision not to adopt a resolution on the non-deployment of weapons in space. Earlier, China had expressed disappointment that the Security Council did not accept the Russian proposal regarding space.
