I am confident that his legacy will continue, and his memory will remain bright for centuries. I reaffirm our readiness to assist in determining the real causes of the helicopter crash that involved Raisi," the telegram states.
It is recalled that the helicopter transporting President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hosein Amir Abdollahian crashed on May 19 in the northwestern part of the country, in the Verzegani region. The senior officials were returning from a ceremony for the opening of hydro facilities on the Arax River, which was attended by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. Rescue teams were dispatched to the site of the emergency and conducted searches throughout the night, complicated by darkness and heavy rainfall. On the morning of May 20, it was announced that the burned wreckage of the helicopter had been found and that all individuals on board had died.
