Hayk Ghalumyan told the residents of Kiran that Baku noticed their activity and movement, which is why it drew the map that way. This was stated today, on May 18, by Bishop Bagrat during a meeting with cultural figures, while discussing the meeting between Tavush Province Governor Hayk Ghalumyan and the residents of Kiran.

“This reflects the words of a state official to the people who have heroically defended the state border. Schools, kindergartens, parks, and cemeteries have been under fire, yet the people have not retreated; they have chosen to live,” added the head of the Tavush Diocese.

“Yesterday, there were attempts to bribe; money was offered. I cannot say for certain, but I have heard discussions about figures ranging from 15 to 20 million,” said Bishop Bagrat, adding that he cannot comment further as he did not witness it himself.

Addressing representatives of the cultural sector, he requested them to visit the residents of Kiran and encourage them as beloved figures they often see only on television.
