Tensions in Kirants: Residents Prevent Border Demarcation Work

This morning, there was a tense situation in the village of Kirants, Tavush province. Khanum Tamrazyan, a resident of Kirants, whose home will be under Azerbaijani control following the demarcation, told Sputnik Armenia that the governor, Hayk Ghalumyan, had gone to Kirants with border guard troops.

“They came to work on demarcation with a tractor, but the villagers did not allow it,” said Khanum Tamrazyan, noting that she and her neighbor refused to leave their homes.
