‘This is not a tragedy’: Russian MFA on Armenia's cessation of CSTO funding

The cessation of funding for the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) by Armenia is not a tragedy, and the organization continues to operate. This statement was made by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin during the ‘Russia – Islamic World: Kazan Forum’ conference. According to aif.ru, he responded to inquiries regarding Armenia's decision to halt financial support for CSTO activities by stating, ‘This is not a tragedy; the organization continues to operate.’
Moreover, the representative of the diplomatic department noted that Armenia does not oppose the limited format approval of the organization's budget for 2024.
