KP Lawmaker Offends Protesters, Then Deletes Post: Her Clarification

KP lawmaker Hasmik Hakobyan has insulted protesters conducting an act of civil disobedience, only to later delete her post. "Dear protesters, instead of blocking streets with trash bins, throw yourselves into the bin and wait for the garbage truck. Your place is in the dump," the KP member wrote on Facebook, but subsequently removed the post.

Human rights defender Ruben Melikyan published a screenshot of the KP lawmaker's post, stating: "This KP deputy responds to the public's broad agenda for reconciliation by inciting intolerance. Not good, my dear girl, not good at all. Woe to the one who drinks coffee with you; it's unlikely they'll be able to explain anything to you."

Hasmik Hakobyan later addressed the incident on her page, saying: "I am currently in Slovakia, having just completed a very important meeting an hour ago. I am confident that this is of no interest to any provocateur or conspirator. But what I want to say is that at the same hour, these fake movement fake instructors are spreading rumors that I supposedly made such a post at that time. P.S. If you have a desire to self-dive into the bin, I can't convince you otherwise, but I wouldn’t recommend it. I also ask my journalist friends to publish this as well. And one more thing, when inflecting, the 'y' that comes after the 'a' and 'o' is written)) (machineYin)."
