A Doctor from the Human Rights Defender Visits French-Armenian Journalist Leo Nikolian on Hunger Strike

By the instruction of Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan, representatives of the Human Rights Defender, including a medical specialist from the staff, conducted a follow-up visit to Zvartnots Airport to meet with French-Armenian journalist Leo Nikolian and assess his health condition on-site. This was reported by the Human Rights Defender.

During the conversation, Leo Nikolian raised several issues, which the representatives of the Human Rights Defender discussed with officials from competent authorities, including representatives from the police and medical services. The representatives were informed by these authorities that Leo Nikolian is receiving the necessary medical assistance. Nikolian also confirmed this fact.

Clarifications have already been requested from the relevant state authorities within the framework of the Defender's jurisdiction. This matter remains under the attention of the Human Rights Defender.
