Police Use Water Cannons to Disperse Anti-Government Protest in Tel Aviv

In Tel Aviv, the police have employed water cannons to disperse an anti-government protest. This was reported by a correspondent from RIA Novosti.

According to the report, after the rally concluded, hundreds of demonstrators moved towards the city center and attempted to block traffic. The police were positioned to intercept the protestors. Some groups managed to break through the barricades, prompting the use of water cannons against them. Several protesters were arrested.

Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced the destruction of almost all Hamas battalions. “We still need to eliminate four more in Rafah. That’s why we want to enter Rafah, because we cannot leave them there,” he stated.

On May 7, Jens Laerke, spokesperson for the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, stated that Israel had violated all five norms of international law during the evacuation process in the Gaza Strip, particularly during operations that began in Rafah.
