Here’s Why We Need to Arm Ourselves: I Do Not Rule Out Intervention - Macron

Europe must be ready to deter Russia if Moscow "goes too far" in the Ukraine conflict, stated French President Emmanuel Macron on the social media platform X.

"If at any point the Russians go too far, we, all Europeans, must be ready to act in order to deter them," he said while responding to user inquiries on social media.

Furthermore, Macron expressed his "complete hope" that Paris would not have to engage in military operations. He emphasized that France is "not a war nation but a peace nation," but if Europe desires peace, it must be prepared to "defend it."

"That’s why we need to arm ourselves. If you go too far and threaten my interests and my own security, then I do not rule out intervention," the president added.
