As of April 5, the components of the bonus system implemented as a result of legislative reforms by the Ministry of Internal Affairs have come into effect. Many have taken advantage of the 50 percent bonus component for fulfilling their obligations.

“Today I am making a payment; for 5000, I paid 2500 drams,” said one driver. Another added, “My fine was 7500, and 50 percent was discounted.” A different motorist stated, “Someone who will pay 10,000 will now pay 5000, or if someone pays 5000, they will pay 2500, but it would be better if they didn’t violate the rules.”

As a result of utilizing the 50 percent bonus component for obligations not in the stage of compulsory enforcement, 75,580 citizens settled their fines involving 165,756 decisions, contributing 699,324,478 drams to the state budget.

Regarding the obligations under compulsory enforcement, approximately 375 million drams have been recovered through 86,197 enforcement cases benefiting from the bonus component.

“I found out that I can pay the fine from compulsory enforcement with a 50 percent discount and came to make those payments,” said another driver who had come to settle their fine.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs stated, “Dear citizens, regarding the obligations arising from violations committed before April 5, starting from April 5, you can use the 50 percent bonus component to settle both obligations in the compulsory enforcement phase and those that are not. Please note that you can take advantage of the bonus component for settling obligations until July 5.”
