AstraZeneca Issues Urgent Recall of Covid-19 Vaccine Worldwide Due to Dangerous Side Effects

The Anglo-Swedish pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca is recalling its Covid-19 vaccine worldwide due to dangerous side effects that could lead to blood clotting and death, according to The Telegraph.

The recall was announced on March 5 and took effect on Tuesday, the report states. Previously, it was revealed that fifty-one families have filed a lawsuit against AstraZeneca, claiming that the Covid-19 vaccine was responsible for the deaths of their loved ones. The plaintiffs are seeking £225 million in compensation.

AstraZeneca has contested the lawsuit but has acknowledged that its vaccine can cause side effects, specifically TTS (Thrombosis with Thrombocytopenia Syndrome). This condition results in blood clots combined with a low platelet count, which is typically necessary for blood clotting.
