A Decision on Kerobyan's Case Will Be Made Soon
The Investigative Committee of Armenia is nearing the final stage of the criminal case initiated against former Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan, and judging by the current situation, the investigation is expected to conclude soon. This is reported by the newspaper 'Zhoghovurd'.
It is worth noting that Vahan Kerobyan has been charged in connection with the criminal case regarding 'Synergy' and has been under house arrest since February 16.
The case involves apparent abuses during the procurement competition for the needs of the Ministry of Economy, resulting in criminal proceedings against eight individuals. Specifically, several officials from the Ministry of Economy, following instructions from their supervising officials, held meetings and phone calls with representatives of Company 'S' during the competition, discussed the terms of the competition, and even provided them with documents presented to the commission by the competing 'H' fund. With their assistance, new or amended conditions were established during the competition, allowing the documents presented by the fund to be deemed non-compliant, thus enabling the company to be excluded from the competition.
Among the accused in this criminal case are Ani Gevorgyan, the wife of the brother of the National Assembly speaker Alen Simonyan, Ashot Hovhannisyan, the head of 'Synergy' company, and others.
