Zakharova Responds to Macron's Statements

French President Emmanuel Macron has been making contradictory statements and taking aggressive actions, raising questions about his condition. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, on her Telegram channel.

On May 6, Macron announced that France is not at war with Russia. In response, Zakharova questioned, "What state is the French president in, making such contradictory statements and taking such aggressive actions?"

Earlier, in an interview with the British magazine The Economist, the French leader considered discussing the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine at Kyiv's request, "if Russian forces break through the frontline." Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters that these words represent an unprecedented new phase of tension.
