Fire in Yerevan: 5 Houses Burned, Body Discovered

Auroranews has received multiple reports of a fire at 13 Dghatyan Street since early morning.

Auroranews contacted the Ministry of Emergency Situations, which provided further details. Five houses have burned, covering a total area of 500 square meters. Seven fire teams have been dispatched to the scene, along with operational groups. Firefighting efforts are underway, and the spread of the fire has been contained. One body has been discovered. The causes of the fire have not yet been disclosed.

It should be noted that earlier, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that on May 7, at 05:52, the Crisis Management National Center received a call about a fire that broke out on the roof of a two-story house on Dghatyan Street in Yerevan.

Seven fire teams from the Yerevan Fire and Rescue Department, a duty team from the Department for Fire Suppression and Rescue Operations, a vehicle from the Gas Protection Service, and medical support teams from the Crisis Management National Center have all arrived at the scene. According to preliminary data, the fire ignited in houses covering an area of approximately 400 square meters. The fire was isolated at 09:01.

Officials from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, including Lieutenant Colonel E. Karapetyan, Lieutenant Colonel D. Sargsyan, and Lieutenant Colonel T. Petrosyan, are present at the site.
