«I have no opinion»: Gagik Melkonyan on the movement originating from Tavush
Gagik Melkonyan, a member of the ruling Civil Contract party, was asked by Haykakan Zhamanak about his opinion on the movement led by Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan of the Armenian Apostolic Church’s Tavush Diocese, which is currently marching towards Yerevan.
Melkonyan replied, "I have no opinion, I have no opinion at all."
When asked by the media about any concerns, he responded, "There are none," briefly.
He was then asked whether he is afraid that Archbishop Bagrat might arrive in Yerevan, start a major movement, and topple their government. To this, Melkonyan answered, "No," again succinctly.
The reporter inquired where his confidence comes from. Melkonyan stated, “The confidence comes from me just like that,” before ending the call.
