Video: Police Forcefully Detain Villagers Obstructing Demining Operations

Garnik Danielyan, a member of the "Armenia" faction of the National Assembly, reports that early this morning, police used brute force to detain a man from Kirants who was blocking the road. The MP is currently at the police station. A large number of police forces have gathered in the area of Kirants village.

Information is also coming in about minors who have been detained. Danielyan reports from the scene that the police are currently conducting an operation called "Ring" and have blocked the entrances to the village. "A significant number of police officers have flooded the village. Villagers who obstructed the demining efforts were forcefully taken away. Among those detained are also minors. I am currently at the Ijevan police station, where more than 20 citizens have been detained," Danielyan elaborated.
