Murder in Yerevan: Man Stabbed

A murder occurred in Yerevan on May 1. Around 23:20, operational information was received by the Criminal Investigation Department of the Yerevan Director of Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia that a deceased citizen had been transferred to the 'St. Gregory the Illuminator' medical center.

According to shamshyan.com, police have identified the deceased as 35-year-old Gevorg N. from the Kotayk Province. According to the doctors’ report, he was transferred to the hospital with stab wounds to the chest, in an unconscious state, and cardiac arrest was recorded.

Authorities have established that the man sustained his injuries near the 'Avangard' hotel complex on Acharyan Street in the Avan administrative district. A criminal case has been initiated under the characteristics of 'murder' by the investigative department. Necessary operational investigative and forensic activities are underway to clarify the circumstances of the incident, identify participants, and discover the murder weapon, a knife.
