Ministry of Internal Affairs Addresses Reports of Beatings of Individuals Taken to Police Station from Kiran

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has issued a statement urging the public not to disseminate unverified information.

“Today, in the Tavush region, 30 individuals have been taken to the police due to violations of Article 182 of the Administrative Violations Code of the Republic of Armenia. After completing the administrative violation reports, all individuals have been released. There have been claims in the media that these individuals were beaten while being taken to the police station. This information is not true. The Ministry of Internal Affairs urges the public not to publish unverifiable and false information,” the statement reads.
