Information from the Investigative Committee Regarding Violence and Threats Against Soldiers in Kiran
The claims made by the newspaper "Hraparak" regarding alleged attempts of violence and threats against several Armenian Armed Forces soldiers who visited the protesters in the village of Kiran in Tavush Province, as well as reports of them being subjected to brutal beatings, are unfounded, fabricated, and lack any factual basis, as is often the case with such publications. This was stated by Gor Abrahamyan, the spokesperson for the Investigative Committee president, on his Facebook page.
"During the relevant investigative actions carried out with these individuals, no such violence was inflicted upon them, and the assertions in this regard are purely speculative gossip," he wrote.
It should be noted that earlier, media reports suggested that the texts of regret expressed by the soldiers who appeared in Kiran were preceded by attempts of violence and threats. There were even rumors about the brutal beating of the soldiers.
