One Person Charged After Incident with Anna Hakobyan

In connection with the incident involving Anna Hakobyan, the wife of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, at the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex, a criminal charge has been brought against one individual. This information was provided to Sputnik Armenia by Gor Abrahamyan, spokesperson for the Investigative Committee.

Earlier, we reported that on April 24, citizens had greeted Anna Hakobyan with chants of "Nikoli, traitor!", "Nikoli, murderer!", "Nikoli, genocider!", and "Nikoli, Turk!" On April 25, it became known that a criminal investigation had been initiated, resulting in the arrest of seven individuals.

According to Abrahamyan, a charge has been filed against one person under Article 329, Part 2, Item 1 of the RA Criminal Code (public speech aimed at inciting hatred, discrimination, intolerance, or hostility, which is spread by a group of persons with prior agreement, as well as the distribution of materials or objects for those purposes). He stated, "A preventive measure has been applied, prohibiting his absence. The other six individuals have been released from detention."

It should be noted that Nikol Pashinyan visited the memorial complex early in the morning with the top leadership of the Republic of Armenia. The Prime Minister's wife went to the memorial with their daughter, Arpi, and was unable to approach the eternal flame to lay flowers for some time.
