Areas Being Transferred to Azerbaijan Without Constitutional Referendum; Does the Prosecution Have Anything to Do? Minasyan Asks the Chief Prosecutor
Opposition "Armenia" faction MP Arzvik Minasyan, addressing the Chief Prosecutor and former advisor to the Prime Minister Vardapetyan, stated that areas are being transferred to Azerbaijan without a constitutional referendum. He then inquired whether the prosecution has any role, or if there is a need for preventive actions.
"The powers of the prosecution are very clear in the Constitution; we conduct procedural leadership over pre-trial proceedings and address specific issues within the framework of inter-trial proceedings, and we cannot provide the clarifications you expect," the Chief Prosecutor responded to his inquiry.
