Car Falls into Azat River from Aravshat Village Bridge
On April 28, at 12:35 PM, the Crisis Management Center of the Ararat Regional Rescue Department received information that a car had fallen into the river from the bridge in Aravshat village, with reported injuries.
A firefighting and rescue unit from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was found that a Nissan vehicle (driver R. V., born 2000) had veered off the roadway and plunged into the Azat River.
Before rescuers arrived, local authorities managed to extricate the driver from the vehicle and they were hospitalized at a medical center, where their health condition was assessed as satisfactory. Rescuers disconnected the vehicle’s power supply, closed the gas cylinder valve, and, with special equipment, retrieved the car from the river and brought it close to the tow truck.
