Martuni Residents Block Martuni-Yerevan Highway

Martuni residents have blocked the Martuni-Yerevan highway. It is noteworthy that large police forces have detained participants of the protest action from Charents Street in Yerevan, including Edgar Ghazaryan, Naira Zohrabyan, and Larisa Alaverdyan.

Today, the Tigranashen section of the Yerevan-Meghri interstate road has been closed, as well as the Alagyaz section of the Yerevan-Gyumri highway and the Martuni section of the Yerevan-Vardenis road. Streets have also been blocked in Yerevan; specifically, the Khorenatsi-Zakyan intersection and Charents Street in front of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are currently closed.

We remind you that the Kiranzi section of the Armenia-Georgia interstate road has been closed for several days. A total of 29 participants of the protest action have been detained, according to the police.

Seventeen of them were detained in Yerevan and twelve in Novyemberyan.
