Bagrad the Bishop on the Border Pillar Installed in Tavush

The first border pillar installed at the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border is the first stone of Armenia's grave. This was stated by Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, the leader of the Tavush Diocese, in an interview with Sputnik Armenia.

“It was the first stone of the grave. Besides experiencing internal pain and sorrow, I cannot say anything else. All this is about lies and deception. In our country, there is no power, no self-governing authority, as well as no government, because it has begged for votes from its people, returned with lies, and is now intimidating them. There is someone checking the cattle feed, someone verifying football nets, and someone playing basketball, but there is no government,” said the bishop.

Commenting on the arrests that took place on the evening of April 23 and the brutal force used by the police, the Bishop emphasized that people are not broken, as they are aware of everything. “We know they can arrest, hit, and break. They would not be distributing flowers or handing out candies. This struggle is about lies and truth. It is determined whom we will serve,” he stated.

To the question of how he envisions the course of the current situation, the bishop stressed that everything is clear: the victory of truth must prevail.
