Vardan Ghukasyan, the founder of the "DOK" party, shared a photo on his Facebook page with the caption: "It’s the position of the Tavush defenders. They surrendered. The enemy’s forces are already stationed there."

Recall that the commissions on border delimitation between Armenia and Azerbaijan agreed on April 19 to start the delimitation process from the Tavush region. The descriptions of the relevant sections of the border will be composed, taking into account the specifications of the coordinates obtained through geodetic measurements in the terrain, which is expected to be completed by May 15, 2024.

The Office of the Prime Minister of Armenia has stated that as a result of this process, Azerbaijan will gain 2.5 villages, while the Republic of Armenia will achieve a reduction in security risks. A change will be made to several hundred meters of the road section near the village of Kiran, while Voskepar will not have any road issues. After the delimitation, the armed forces will withdraw from the sections around four villages and give way to border troops.

Since April 19, residents of border villages in Tavush have been holding protests on the Armenia-Georgia interstate road against the delimitation option agreed upon by Yerevan and Baku.
