VIDEO: Will Russian Bases Be Removed from Tavush or Not? Nikol Pashinyan
In a conversation with journalists in Stepanavan, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan responded to a reporter's question regarding whether the issue of removing Russian bases from Tavush will be raised following yesterday's agreements. He expressed confidence that after completing the delimitation process in Tavush Province, the border guards of Armenia and Azerbaijan will be able to cooperate with each other.
“The Russian bases were established there based on a particular situation. What is happening now marks a significant change in that situation. It means that we no longer have a frontline, but a boundary, and a boundary is a sign of peace. This will indicate that the border guards of Armenia and Azerbaijan will cooperate together and will be capable of ensuring the security of the border independently,” said Pashinyan.
