Strong Winds in Turkey: Casualties Reported
Severe weather is wreaking havoc in Turkey, reports the Readovka Telegram channel. A tornado has begun to form in Izmir, while wind speeds in Çankırı have reached 90 km/h. The gusts have also toppled one of the two minarets of a mosque.
According to media reports, the storm has destroyed the roof of a Sunday market and affected several buildings. In Istanbul, weather conditions are also deteriorating. There, heavy rains have started, flooding the streets.
Emergency services report that there are casualties.
