Extraordinary Incident in Yerevan: 14-Year-Old Shoots 15-Year-Olds with Pneumatic Gun

On April 10, an extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan. The police department of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs received operational information from the Erevan Division concerning minors and family violence prevention. It was reported that at around 1:00 PM on the same day, during an argument at one of Yerevan's primary schools, a local 14-year-old boy, referred to as V.T., fired a pneumatic gun at two 9th-grade students of the same school, injuring 15-year-old V.G. in the forehead and 15-year-old A.A. in the abdomen, causing physical pain.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, thanks to the explanatory work of the officers from the Erevan Division on minors and family violence prevention, V.T. came to the police station with a parent and submitted the 'PM-X' branded 4.5mm caliber pneumatic gun.

Documentation regarding the incident has been compiled by the Erevan Division of the police and has been forwarded to the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia's Yerevan investigative department for the administrative districts of Erebuni and Nubarashen.

As per G. Shamshyan's reports, V.T. is an 8th-grade student at the same school, while V.G. and A.A. are in the 9th grade.
