Tragic Car Accident in Kotayk: One Dead and Injured

On April 18, a tragic car accident occurred in the Kotayk province. Around 07:20 AM, a Volkswagen Dora vehicle collided with iron barriers on the Karashamb-Lusakert road within the administrative territory of the Karashamb community, veered off the traffic zone, hit a concrete section, and rolled over.

According to shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, two individuals were transported in critical condition to the Abovyan Medical Center. The injured were first assisted by villagers who found them about 15-20 meters away from the vehicle.

While police arrived at the scene to secure the area, the Abovyan Medical Center notified the Police Department of Nairi that one of the injured had died after failing to regain consciousness, while the other victim was rushed to the Surb Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center via ambulance.

A criminal case has been initiated regarding the accident, and by order of the investigator, the vehicle has been moved to the secured area of the Police Department of Nairi. Police and investigative units are working to determine the identities of the driver, the deceased, and the injured.
