Around 10:00 PM, 15-year-old Gagik V. was driving his BMW when he collided with a ZIL truck owned by 61-year-old Surik Tovmasyan, parked on the roadside on Artashatyan highway near the village of Azatavank.

Emergency services from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia dispatched a team from the Artashat fire and rescue squad. Bystanders were the first to provide assistance to the injured. While an investigative team was working at the scene, a notification was received from the hospital by the Artashat police that Haik H. had succumbed to his injuries without regaining consciousness.
