Russian-Turkish Joint Center in Occupied Artsakh Closes

The Russian-Turkish joint center for monitoring the ceasefire regime in occupied Artsakh is closing. According to the APA news agency, citing the Turkish Ministry of Defense, the operations of the center, which was opened in occupied Aghdam (Aknas) in January 2021, will be halted.

The center was inaugurated in Aghdam on January 30, 2021, with the aim of overseeing the ceasefire and preventing violations, in accordance with the memorandum signed between Turkey and Russia. Each side (Russia and Turkey) had 60 military personnel stationed there.
