Hajiyev on the Withdrawal of Russian Peacekeepers from Artsakh
The withdrawal of Russian peacekeepers is a joint decision by the high leadership of Azerbaijan and Russia. This was stated by Hikmet Hajiyev, an advisor to the President of Azerbaijan.
“Based on the trilateral statement signed on November 10, 2020, the leaders of the two countries have made a decision regarding the early withdrawal of the peacekeeping forces of the Russian Federation,” he noted, adding, “The process has already begun, and the defense ministries of Azerbaijan and Russia are taking the necessary measures to implement this decision.”
It is worth noting that earlier, Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia, confirmed that the withdrawal of Russian peacekeepers from Nagorno-Karabakh had also commenced.
