Political Instructions Publicly Issued: "Zhoghovurd"

KP faction member Hakob Aslanyan has appealed to law enforcement, at the urging of his colleagues, to punish the citizen he had an argument with, Samvel Vardanyan. This was reported by the newspaper "Zhoghovurd." Thus, the conflict that took place yesterday in a minibus involving KP deputy Hakob Aslanyan and citizen Samvel Vardanyan has caused significant noise.

“Immediately after the incident, ArmLur.am contacted the deputy to clarify details and inquired whether he intended to approach the police and hold the citizen accountable. ‘No, who does he think he is, who is he that I should go to the police?’ the authoritarian deputy had angrily responded.

However, hours later, the situation changed. Almost all KP members, led by Alen Simonyan and Arthur Hovhannisyan, 'strongly condemned' the incident and simultaneously provided clear instructions to law enforcement to hold citizen Samvel Vardanyan accountable.

Alen Simonyan was the first to respond to the incident, stating: 'Today, a nobody allowed themselves to commit a hooligan act against 69-year-old National Assembly deputy Hakob Aslanyan, who, by the way, is a participant in three wars. This hooligan act will receive the strictest response from the law very quickly; let no one doubt that,' he wrote on his Telegram channel.

Then, KP faction member Arthur Hovhannisyan joined in, saying: 'I strongly condemn the blatant hooliganism committed against National Assembly deputy Hakob Aslanyan. I am confident that law enforcement will find the perpetrator very soon.'

After the uproar raised by his colleagues and their instructions, Hakob Aslanyan, who initially saw no reason to go to the police, ended up filing a complaint against Samvel Vardanyan, after which the latter was temporarily arrested for 72 hours. This means that the KP deputy did not act out of his own will and desire in this case, but under the guidance of his colleagues; we will see how the investigation will proceed. In any case, the political instructions have been publicly issued to the investigative committee,” the newspaper wrote.
