Paris has recalled its ambassador in Azerbaijan due to unilateral actions by Baku that have harmed the relations between the two countries. This was announced in a statement by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
France reaffirmed its support for the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. “Paris advocates for the normalization of relations between Baku and Yerevan based on adherence to international legal principles and the recognition of the territorial integrity of both countries,” the French Foreign Ministry's statement reads.
It is also emphasized that Ambassador Anne Bouillon is already in France, and French President Emmanuel Macron has met with the diplomat.
