Armenia is Iran's Lifeline, Mehdi Sobhani

During a press conference, Mehdi Sobhani, the Iranian ambassador to Armenia, stated that Armenia serves as a lifeline for Iran to Northern routes and the Black Sea. He emphasized that for Armenia, Iran similarly provides a route to the countries of the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

“In the near future, we will reach good agreements regarding freight transportation. This involves reducing transit tariffs and the costs of road fees,” the ambassador clarified.
