Parks Named After Mesrop Mashtots in Astana and Abai Kunanbayev in Yerevan to Be Established

The potential for enhancing trade and economic collaboration between Armenia and Kazakhstan remains untapped, aimed at boosting investment, improving infrastructural connections, and increasing trade. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a joint press conference with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

“Tokayev’s official visit holds significant importance for further multi-sectoral cooperation. Notably, this visit occurs during a symbolic time for our countries, as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Kazakhstan this year,” he remarked.

Pashinyan emphasized that the high level of dialogue between the two nations was reaffirmed in the jointly signed statement, which plays a guiding role in the countries’ further development and provides new impetus. He noted that they are discussing the establishment of parks named after St. Mesrop Mashtots, the author of the Armenian alphabet, in Astana, and Kazakh poet and founder of Kazakh literature Abai Kunanbayev in Yerevan based on the principle of reciprocity.

Pashinyan has presented to Tokayev the progress of negotiations with Azerbaijan.
