Kazakhstan Ready to Provide Platform for Armenia-Azerbaijan Negotiations: Tokayev
Kazakhstan welcomes the aspirations of Armenia and Azerbaijan to sign a peace treaty. This statement was made by Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Yerevan.
“Kazakhstan is ready to provide maximum support and a platform for negotiations between the two countries,” he said. According to him, their main goal is to bring Armenia and Azerbaijan closer together and pave the way for peace and sustainable development.
“Armenia is a very important and reliable partner for Kazakhstan in the South Caucasus. Our goals and interests coincide in terms of strengthening regional and international peace and security,” he noted.
According to the President of Kazakhstan, discussions with Prime Minister Pashinyan demonstrate the interest in maintaining high-level Armenian-Kazakh relations.
Tokayev emphasized the high regard for Armenia's initiative to restore transport connections in the South Caucasus. “We welcome Nikol Pashinyan's initiative called the ‘Crossroads of Peace,’” he highlighted.
