If We Say One and a Half Million Armenians Were Killed, We Must Extract One and a Half Million Names from Some Archives: Kocharian
“I know that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan aims to establish a genuine basis related to the genocide, to make the entire list of our compatriots who suffered under the genocide tangible,” said Andranik Kocharian, a member of the National Assembly from the Civil Contract faction, during a broadcast on 'Azatutyun'.
“Until now, we have not been able to gather that named list; we need to focus on collecting that list in a substantiated manner. We have museums, everything related to the genocide, conferences, books, doctoral works, but we have to have the most important thing: the names of that one and a half million, where they were, how, under what conditions, so that it can be very targeted. We have not solved this problem for decades. Now, real Armenia is giving us the opportunity to also make the release of the genocide a reality. It is clear, isn’t it, that if we say one and a half million Armenians were killed, we must be able to extract one and a half million names from some archives and place them; the wall of the Genocide Museum must be filled with those names,” Kocharian stated.
