ICRC Representatives Meet with Armenian Prisoners and Artsakh Leaders
Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) office in Baku met in April with Armenian prisoners illegally held in Azerbaijan, as well as former and current leaders of Artsakh. This was reported by Ilaha Huseynova, head of the public relations department of the ICRC’s Azerbaijan representation, to Azerbaijani media.
According to the source, individual meetings took place, and the prisoners were given the opportunity to communicate with their families. It is noteworthy that former Artsakh Presidents Araik Harutyunyan, Bako Sahakyan, and Arkadi Ghukasyan, as well as National Assembly President Davit Ishkhanian, former State Minister Ruben Vardanyan, former Foreign Minister Davit Babayan, former Commander of the Defense Army Levon Mnatsakanyan, and former Deputy Commander Davit Manukyan have been abducted and are being illegally held by Baku. Azerbaijani courts have unlawfully detained them on fabricated charges.
