Ayvazovsky's "On the Southern Shore" Painting Sold at Auction for Over 252 Million Drams

The painting "On the Southern Shore" by Johannes Ayvazovsky, which was initially valued between £400,000 and £600,000 (approximately 196 to 294 million drams), has sold at auction for £514,000 (equivalent to 252,171,532 drams at the current exchange rate), according to the "Kulturomania" website. The auction was organized by MacDougall's Auction House.

Another highlight of the auction was Konstantin Gorbatov's painting "Open Window", which was initially estimated at £100,000 to £200,000 and ultimately sold for £116,935 (57,369,023 drams).

The auction took place from March 18 to April 10 in an online format on the platform of Paris's Hôtel Drouot auction house.
