VIDEO: They Were Hitting Their Heads on the Toilet Bowl to Die: Alen Simonyan

In a session at the National Assembly, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, stated, "The opposition accuses the Government of failing to fulfill its promises in various areas. The substantive discussion has come to the point where our colleagues assume that it is possible to compare statements made in 2018, 2020, 2021, and 2022 and somehow generate commentary around that. In other words, nothing has changed, there have been no wars, the September attacks did not occur, and should reality remain so distorted?"

According to Simonyan, reality is evolving rapidly today, and the Government has an obligation to take that reality into account. "And what has the opposition promised and what have they done? You went out into the streets and said, 'We will return with our agenda.' We do not see that agenda. Why are you here? You will go back to your voters and tell them. Dear colleagues, is the situation that critical that a resignation is needed? Is there something new? You all should resign, and new elections will take place. Why aren't you resigning?" He responded to a remark by Mr. Mirzoyan, stating, "Let me remind you what was done in our yard: they were hitting their heads on the toilet bowl to die. This mainly happened with the members of the Dashnaktsutyun party. Anna Grigoryan defends the CSTO, you are a pro-Russian opposition," he noted.
