Incident Occurred Where Armenian-Russian Joint Air Defense Did Not Connect: Prime Minister
According to the law, the Armenian-Russian joint air defense system must connect upon the command of the Armenian side; however, there has been an incident where it did not connect. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this during his speech in the National Assembly.
“Quoting from our election program, we stated that Armenian-Russian relations, the CSTO, and the unified air defense system are factors in ensuring our security. You are right; we wrote that, but the CSTO says it will not come to your aid, the agreement is not working. There has been an incident where the law stipulates that the joint air defense must connect upon our command, yet the joint air defense did not connect upon our command. And there are numerous such stories,” said Pashinyan.
