It Will Take Years for the Complete Elimination of Hamas, Says Israeli Minister

Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz stated on Wednesday that Israeli forces have succeeded against the Hamas group, but it will take years to fully eliminate it. This was reported by Izvestia.

“The battle with Hamas will take time. The boys who are now in high school will fight in the Gaza Strip, in Judea and Samaria, and against Lebanon,” the minister was quoted as saying by The Times of Israel. Judea and Samaria refer to the entire West Bank.

The Israeli defense minister also mentioned that the date for the initiation of operations in Rafah has not been determined.
