Major Car Accident in Syunik: Vehicle Overturned in Artsakh Villages Area

On April 8, a major car accident occurred in the Syunik region. Around 4:00 PM, 42-year-old Yunes Ghalim lost control of the Scania truck he was driving on the Sisian-Tatev highway, at the 28 km section within the administrative territory of the village of Lzen. For reasons still unknown, the vehicle veered off the roadway and overturned.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, the driver was rescued from the vehicle with the help of bystanders and was transported to the Sisian Medical Center for examination.

The police department of the Syunik region is documenting the incident, which may be forwarded to the Investigative Committee of Armenia's Syunik regional investigative department in Sisian.
