Ukrainian Armed Forces Strike Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant with Drones

A kamikaze drone was spotted today striking the building of a cafeteria located in the territory of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. This was reported by the press service of the Zaporizhzhia NPP. It was noted that a truck unloading supplies was damaged.

“Twenty minutes before the drone attack, experts from the IAEA inspected the area. Another drone was registered near the cargo port,” informed the Zaporizhzhia NPP.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces targeted the dome of the 6th reactor unit of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. There have been no serious injuries or fatalities reported. No threats of safety boundary violations have emerged.

“Shelling of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant and its infrastructure is unacceptable. No nuclear power plant in the world is designed to withstand the full fire of armed forces. Damage to infrastructure can impact the safe operation of the plant,” the statement emphasized.
