We Did Not Go to Bring NATO Forces to Armenia: Mirzoyan

We did not go to bring NATO forces to Armenia and that did not happen. This was stated by Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan during a broadcast on public television.

“It was interesting to observe how certain narratives developed in connection with the April 5 meeting among some circles in Armenia, in Azerbaijan, and in Russia. I reiterate that on April 5, the statement that Armenia was prepared to have was discussed and adopted. There were no other components that we discussed; it did not happen. We did not go to bring NATO forces to Armenia and that did not happen. Those circles were also aware that such a thing would not be negotiated. They deliberately spread this, so later they could say either it was because of our efforts that it did not happen, or that the government was unable to do it,” Mirzoyan noted.
