The West is Pushing Yerevan on the Ukrainian Path: Leonid Slutsky
The West is pushing Yerevan on the Ukrainian path. This is becoming increasingly evident alongside the development of the Armenia-US-EU format. This was stated by Leonid Slutsky, the head of the International Affairs Committee of the State Duma of Russia and leader of the LPR, on his Telegram channel.
“Against the backdrop of the collective West's proxy war and Ukraine's failures, Washington and Brussels are searching for new ‘polygons’ against Russia. And, apparently, the gaze of Western countries has increasingly begun to fall first on Moldova and then on Armenia.
Do the current authorities in Yerevan realize that the promised support and assistance from the Euro-Atlantic ‘bases’ is nothing more than attempts to revive the ‘plan’ for weakening Russia? Now, at the expense of the national interests of the Armenian people and with the prospect of destabilization in the South Caucasus.
As a result, such ‘assistance’ leads to the loss of sovereignty, civil wars, and civilian casualties, economic crises, and humanitarian disasters. The question is whether the citizens of these two countries want to see all this repeating the ‘Ukrainian variant,’” said Slutsky.
