Pashinyan Plans Train Tour Next Week
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is set to embark on a working tour by train next week. The journey will commence from the Noragavit station aboard an electric train operated by the South Caucasus Railway. According to our sources, Pashinyan will stop at the Spandaryan station, where he has observations related to ongoing works. This information was reported by Hraparak.
According to discussions, the prime minister's purpose for the train tour is to monitor the work of the railway staff and to familiarize himself with the condition of the stations. Employees of the South Caucasus Railway have been preparing for Pashinyan’s visit for two weeks. Electrical column foundations at the stations are being repaired and refreshed, and the electric train that Pashinyan will use for the tour has been updated.
It should be noted that the South Caucasus Railway is a subsidiary of Russian Railways. In 2008, a concession agreement was signed between Russian Railways and the Republic of Armenia, transferring the management of the Armenian Railway to the South Caucasus Railway. Under the agreement, the term of the concession management is 30 years.
