What to Do if You Are Requested a Round Seal at Russian Migration Points
Earlier, we reported on the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs' response regarding the demand for a round seal in Armenian passports at certain Russian migration points. From January 1, 2024, standard (non-biometric) Armenian passports will be issued without any note on validity in foreign countries, as stated by the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs' Migration and Citizenship Service to the diplomatic services of foreign states operating in Armenia.
Last year, the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also informed about this change on its official website in a trilingual format, noting that the decision had been sent to the diplomatic services of foreign states acting in Armenia.
What to do if you are still asked for a round seal at certain Russian migration points? As a helpful option, you can search for and find the official notice on the change regarding the validity of the Armenian NON-BIOMETRIC PASSPORT IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' website, available in both Russian and English. Print these and take a paper copy with you. This might help you avoid unnecessary hassles.
