Despite Claims of Military Movements, It Is Encouraging That EU Mission Can Refute Them: Klaar
Despite claims of military movements, it is encouraging that the EU monitoring mission in Armenia is able to refute them, stated Toivo Klaar, the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus on his page X.
"It also remains an underutilized resource to help eliminate misunderstandings and false perceptions," Klaar wrote.
Earlier, the EU monitoring mission in Armenia reported that today it conducted patrols in the areas of Sotk, Verin Shorzha, Aravus, and Movses, and the situation was stable and calm.
Recall that during the night of April 5-6, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces units opened fire of varying intensity from small arms in several directions along the border towards the positions of the RA Armed Forces. In particular, fire was opened:
- Between 22:25-22:50 in the area of Sotk (Gegharkunik Province),
- At 23:15 in Verin Shorzha (Gegharkunik Province),
- At 00:15 in Kut (Gegharkunik Province),
- Between 23:15-23:20 in Aravus (Syunik Province),
- Between 23:05-23:20 in Chinari (Tavush Province),
- Between 00:15-01:20 in Movses (Tavush Province).
